Today you'll begin your North Star 2015 Award winning tour!

After arriving in Fairbanks, check into your hotel. In you arrive early take some time to relax for this evening, when we'll travel to the Norther Lights observation cabins. Located deep in the Alaskan Interior, Fairbanks is one of the best spots in the world to watch the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) year round. We'll depart at 10:00pm to see this extraordinary, natural phenomenon.

Today, you can enjoy a relaxing, free day.

You have the option of visiting the Chena Hot Springs and feel the warmth of the outdoor mineral hot springs. During the winter months you can feel the ice and snow while bathing in the hot springs (18+ only). You can also visit the world's only year-round ice museum, which features an annual ice sculpture contest prize winner. These sculptures are judged by people all over the world. You can also enjoy a glass of ice-carved Apple Martini (own expense) in the ice bar. We'll return to the hotel at around 6:00pm. This tour is available from mid-September to March.

Today, we'll depart from hotel at about 11:00 am and you will have the chance to experience dog sledding and explore the town. You also can plan to travel to Northern Light observation cabins at 10:00 pm.

At our first stop we'll have the chance to meet some pure bred huskies and travel on a dog sled by a professional dog musher. Afterwards we'll stop for lunch at any one of the amazing Asian restaurants in Fairbanks.

Next, we'll travel to the Museum of the North, one of Alaska's main cultural landmarks at the University of Alaska. Its facade features innovative lines and spaces to evoke the imagination of the Alaska Range, glaciers, Yukon River and the Northern Lights. The museum provides visitors a wealth of knowledge of not only the land, but the inhabitants as well. In addition, the museum also provides visitors a rich Alaska Native crafts exhibition. (In case of the North Polar Museum closed every Sunday, you will go to classic car museum.)

Lastly, we'll have another chance to visit the Northern Lights observation cabins.

Today, you can enjoy a relaxing, free day in Fairbanks. In the evening we'll have another chance to see the Northern Lights at the observation cabins.

You may also take part in an optional Arctic Circle day tour, available from Fall to March. We'll travel by plane over the Arctic Circle to see the beautiful tundra and vast mountain ranges. We'll land in the town of Coldfoot, which services North America's most northern post office, and then take a ride down the famous Dalton Highway. Along the way we'll pass the Prudhoe Bay Oil Fields, the Yukon River which is the 5th largest in North America, and the Dalton Highway monument where you'll receive a certificate for your journeys. We'll return just in time to visit the Northern Lights observation cabins and see the Aurora Borealis.

Today you will leave hotel for airport. Last day in Alaska, we hope you’ve enjoyed your stay. It is time to say farewell. If your flights scheduled to take off after 9:00 pm, you can participate in the optional ice fishing which is active from November to March.
