This peninsular town in the Vale of Glamorgan is one of Wales’ most popular seaside resorts and summer getaways. Barry is best known for its beach and for having the world’s second-highest tidal range. Any trip to Barry would be incomplete without a visit to Porthkerry Country Park, which consists of 220 acres of woodland and meadows in a sheltered valley that leads to a pebble beach and spectacular cliffs.
