The last remaining Beguinage in Bruge, these historic houses are now used as a convent for the Benedictine nuns. Founded in 1244 by Margaret of Constantinopel, the Beguinage served as the central home for pious women who served and ministered to the poorer communities of Bruge. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Beguinage is composed of a series of white colored apartments and a tranquil convent garden.
