The medieval castle in Blarney, Ireland contains the famous Blarney Stone to which legend says brings the "Gift of the Gab" or eloquence to those who kiss it. The current version of Blarney Castle was built in 1446 with two previous versions constructed between 900-1210. Its history includes events such as Desmond Rebellions, Irish Confederate Wars and the Williamite War in Ireland. Gardens, rock formations and Blarney House are on the castle grounds of more than 1,000 acres. More than 250,000 people visit the castle every year.
