See the alma mater of world-renowned Charles Darwin and the gardens dedicated to him that features species he brought back from his famous Galapagos voyage. Christ Church College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford and its largest and most popular, was founded in 1525 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Some of its other notable alumni include Albert Einstein, John Locke, W.H. Auden, Lewis Carroll and 13 British prime ministers. The college’s chapel also serves as Oxford Cathedral for the local diocese.
