Situated between Rotordam and The Hague, Delft rests in South Holland and is most famous for housing the Deflt Blue Pottery. As old as the 11th century, the city of Delft was badly damaged due to an explosion of a gun powder shop in 1654. However, the city was rebuilt and many of the monumental buildings survived. Like Amsterdam, the city features an intricate canal system, making it a popular tourist destination.
