Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center

Located on George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate, this educational institution offers 23 galleries and theaters with interactive displays on the United States' first president as well as more than 700 items detailing the lives of the Washington family. Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center opened in 2006 and was funded by a $24 million donation from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. It also plays films produced by The History Channel on Washington and contains a Distance Learning Center to communicate with teachers and students throughout the country.
