There's something for everyone as this six-acre attraction that has a 500,000-gallon aquarium containing more than 200 difference species of marine life, an amusement area with rides and games, a restaurant and bar, educational exhibits, a ballroom and a shopping section. The aquarium opened in 2003 on the site of two of Houston's notable structures of Fire Station No. 1 and The Central Waterworks Building. Dine and drink at the restaurant or bar while watching sting rays, guitarfish and sawfish swim past you. Aquarium Adventure Exhibits feature sharks, alligators, tigers, pythons, octupus, eels, piranhas and many other creatures.
