Some of Munich’s most notable landmarks are the onion-domed towers of this 15th-century church, the largest in the city. Frauenkirche is the seat of the Archbishop and symbol of Munich, and no other building in the central part of the city may stand taller than the onion-domed twin towers. The church houses the empty tomb of Ludwig the Bavarian, who was a king of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor.
