See one of Spain’s best-preserved Jewish Quarters, or Calls, in northern Catalonia's largest city. The Call in Girona with its narrow serpentine streets, stone houses and porticoed squares is one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in the country where visitors can step back in time. Here you will find the Museum of Jewish History, Museum of City History and the Torre Gironella, a tower where the city’s Jewish population hid during a 1391 massacre.
