This Salzburg royal villa was commissioned in 1612 by Prince Archbishop Markus Sittikus von Hohenems as a summer residence at the bottom of Hellbrunn Mountain. Hellbrunn Palace was built between 1613-19 and designed by noted Italian architect Santino Solari. The palace grounds have numerous trick water fountains that are popular with visitors. There's also a large park, folklore museum and theater in addition to a nearby zoo.
