This revered square located at the end of the grand World Heritage Boulevard is one of the most visited attractions in Budapest. Heroes’ Square was built to commemorate the 895 Magyar conquest of Hungary. At its center you will find the Millennium Monument and 120-foot Column, which is capped by a statue of the Archangel Gabriel. Behind the column is a semicircular colonnade with statues of famous men who made their mark on Hungarian history.
