Hluboka Castle in Southern Bohemia was founded as a royal castle of Bohemian kings in the mid-1200s. Renovated several times, the castle retains its Windsor-Castle-inspired design chosen by the Schwarzenberg family in 1871. The Neo-Gothic structure has 11 towers and 140 rooms with crystal chandeliers, paintings and tapestries. The kitchen displays old equipment from the turn of the 19th century. Be sure to visit the old riding hall, which has been converted into an art gallery, the English-style Castle Park and the greenhouse.
