The enchanting district of Prague is home to the magnificent Prague Castle as well as regal palaces, stately homes and beautiful gardens. The Hradčany Quarter began as its own town in 1320 and later was annexed by Prague in 1784. Other notable landmarks in the quarter include St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, Golden Lane, Basilica of Saint George, Royal Summer Palace, Royal Gardens, Daliborka Tower, Black Tower and the Strahov Monastery.
