The 400-acre Virginia amusement park includes a sections such as a Waterworks water park, Planet Snoopy, International Street, Candy Apple Grove, Safari Village and Old Virginia. Kings Dominion has more than 60 rides, attractions and shows and opened in 1975 getting its name from its sister Ohio theme park Kings Island and Virginia's state nickname "Old Dominion." Notable rides and attractions are Intimidator 305, Anaconda, Grizzly, Volcano: The Blast Coaster, Dominator, Drop Tower, Dinosaurs Alive! and the Eiffel Tower replica.
