The sublime recreation lake was created when the Parker Dam was assembled between 1934-38 along the Colorado River on the border of Arizona and California. Lake Havasu has a surface area of approximately 19,300 acres and attracts about 750,000 visitors per year. The lake is a popular spot for boating, fishing and swimming. The coastline runs 400-plus miles with beautiful beaches and is a favorite Spring Break destination.
