This spectacular gorge in the Czech Republic's Moravian Karst is more than 450 feet deep! Macocha Abyss was first explored in 1723 by monk Lazar Schopper. It was created by the collapse of a cave and named during the 17th century. It has two platforms for visitors to view the sink hole that the River Punkva runs through creating two lakes.
