Mirabell Palace in Salzburg has gardens and its own Hedge Theater. Built in 1606 by Wolf Dietrich Raitenau, the palace was to serve as a token of his love for Salome Alt with whom he had 15 children. After his death, his heirs renamed the palace Mirabell, and it is now the location of the mayor’s office. The palace’s Marble Hall also hosts concerts and ceremonies. Outside the palace, tour Mirabell Gardens and see Pegasus Fountain or visit one of the oldest hedge theaters north of the Alps.
