The fiery tourist attraction outside of the Mirage Hotel & Casino draws crowds every hour from 5-11 p.m. along the Las Vegas Strip as it rumbles, roars, smokes and spews a lava-like substance. Mirage Volcano that first opened in 1989 was designed by the WET company and has been renovated throughout the years to have a lagoon, waterfalls, fire balls, smoke and music. Music was composed by The Grateful Dead member Mickey Hart and Indian tabla musician Zakir Hussain.
