Also called Stari Most, this enchanting bridge that spans the Neretva River is a symbol of Mostar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mostar Old Bridge was built by the Ottomans during the 1500s to replace an unstable wooden bridge. It had to be rebuilt in 2004 after it was destroyed in 1993 during the Croat–Bosniak War. The Old Bridge Museum, which is located right next to the bridge, features historical information and exhibits.
