Yet another Montjuic must-see, the sprawling National Palace, originally built for the World Exhibition of 1929, is home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia. It is the largest museum in Catalonia and most important center for Romanesque art in the world. The museum’s collection features 12th- and 13th-century frescoes as well as works by Goya, Rubens and El Greco. The palace is also home to the Magic Fountain, which puts on an amazing display of music, water acrobatics and lights.
