Interactive exhibits in this museum's 13,000-square-foot gallery will uniquely explain Nevada's history beginning in prehistoric times and highlighting Native American tribes, the pioneers, mining, the Hoover Dam, atomic testing and Las Vegas. Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas originated in 1982 in Lorenzi Park and relocated to the Las Vegas Springs Reserve in 2011. It contains a research library, souvenir shop and educational laboratories.
