Olympic Stadium Athens is also known as Spiros Louis Stadium in honor of the first modern Olympic marathon winner in 1896, who is a national hero and was born in what is now a suburb of Athens. The stadium is also a popular concert venue attracting many of the world’s top music acts, and was the host of the Amnesty International Human Rights Now!
