Palais des Festivals
The Cannes venue hosts many international and local events including the Cannes International Film Festival. Palais des Festivals was built in 1979 after the original building constructed in 1949 became too small for the popular film festival. The convention center also was expanded in 1999 adding on Espace Riviera.
