Considered the home to international law, the Peace Palace stands in Netherland's capital, The Hague, and houses the Permanent Court of Arbitration, International Court of Justice (the judicial court of the UN), Hague Academy of International Law and the Peace Palace Library. Originally built to house the Permanent court of Arbitration, the building has since become a symbol of international peace throughout the world and is believed to be one of the foundations for international diplomacy.
