Known across the world for its famed leaning tower, this Central Italian city is situated in the country's Tuscany region where the Arno and Serchio rivers meet at the Tyrrhenian Sea. The history of Pisa is unclear, however, archaeological remains have been found that date back to the 6th Century BC. In addition to The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the city has many other notable landmarks including the Square of Miracles, Pisa Cathedral, Pisa Baptistery, University of Pisa Botanical Garden, Medici Palace, Knights Square, Santa Maria della Spina and Monumental Cemetery.
