This city gate on the north side of Milan is one of several surrounding the walled city. Erected from 1826 through 1828, the neoclassical arch was originally called Porta Comasina. It was later dedicated to admired politician and Italian general, Giuseppe Garibaldi. Today there are three places where visitors can pass through the gate while admiring its architecture and decor.
