Ruckl (Nizbor) Glass Factory
The Rueckl family has been making glass for more than 300 years traveling from Italy to Bohemia during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Jan Rueckl first started a glass company in 1846 in then-Cyranuv Wostrov. His son Antonin later went on to build a few more glassworks in the late 18th century and one in Nizbor in 1903. Ruckl Crystal has been chosen as the company to make official Czech Republic state gifts. It offers guided tours through its glass factory in Nizbor.
