This Gothic cathedral is Vienna’s most prominent landmark. Measuring over 350 feet long, with its tallest of four towers reaching over 447 feet, the 12th century structure certainly catches the eye. Climb 343 steps to the tower room and look out over the city. See the cathedral roof with tile depictions of the city’s coat of arms and imperial symbol. Then tour the cathedral and catacombs to learn about the Pummerin bell in the north tower and marble sarcophagus of Emperor Friedrich III. St. Stephen’s also hosts Easter and Advent concerts every year.
