The Marian pilgrimage shrine is situated in the small Czech town of Krtiny. A church and monastery were started on the site in 1210 by Premonstratensians. Temple of Krtiny was designed by Jan Santini Aichel and built between 1728-50. The holy site is made up of several buildings including the Church of the Holy Name of Mary, St. Anne Chapel and Provost Residence. The church's stunning ceiling frescoes are a highlight of the shrine.
