The 960,00-square-foot indoor arena is home to the NBA's Chicago Bulls and NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. United Center was opened in 1994 and named after its corporate sponsor of United Airlines. It features statues of Chicago sports legends such as basketball players Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippin, hockey players Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull, and announcer Johnny "Red" Kerr. It's one of the largest arenas in the United States and hosts many concerts and events, as well.
