The United Nations Office at Geneva is the former headquarters of the League of Nations. Today it is used for the annual meeting of the WHO and occasionally as an alternative meeting place to UN Headquarters in New York. The UN offers hour-long tours of the Palace of Nations where visitors learn about current projects and visit several meeting places and monuments. Go inside the Council Chamber where many historically significant negotiations have taken place; sit in the Assembly Hall with its country placards; then see monuments around the grounds including the Armillary Sphere and the Conquest of Space.
