This magnificent English castle in Windsor, England is situated upon 13 acres overlooking the River Thames and is oldest inhabited castle in the world. The site of Windsor Castle was first developed by William the Conqueror back in the 11th century and modified lavishly by future kings including Henry II and Henry II throughout the next centuries. The castle today remains the official residence of the Queen of England. Visitors may tour portions of Windsor Castle including the State Apartments, Queen Mary's Doll's House, the Semi-State Rooms and St. George's Chapel.
