Today you'll begin your fantastic journey through Baja California after we pick you up in San Diego. We'll cross the border to enter Baja and drive southbound along the Pacific coast, enjoying a breathtaking ocean views before arriving in Ensenada, a seaport famous for warm Mediterranean-like climate, beautiful bay and incomparable food and wine outlets.

After lunch, we will continue scenic drive southbound to reach San Quintin for overnight.

After breakfast, drive southward on Federal Road #1 to arrive La Lobera, a rest and breeding ground for sea lions. Further down south is Valle de los Cirios (Cactus Valley) where giant cactus thrive in the Mexican harsh desert. Arrive Guerrero Negro early afternoon, onward to visit the world’s largest salt plant. We will have guided tour on the plant to view the process of converting ocean water to “white mountains: salt piles”.

This morning we'll head for Ojo de Liebre Lagoon, the UNESCO World Heritage Site facing Pacific Ocean. Every autumn, Alaska gray whales swim 3000 miles down south to come here for reproduction and wintering. It is also a very important habitat for harbor seal, as well as other mammals including California sea lion, northern elephant seal and blue whale.

We will spend the whole morning in close contact with whales, watching baby whales swim with their mothers where you can touch them freely; photographing them in extremely close range and interact with this wonderful mammal. After lunch, we'll head to Catavina where we'll spend the night.

Morning transfer northbound, lunch stop at Lobster Village which offers unique Puerto Nuevo style lobster dish. We will also stop at the Arts and Crafts Corridor where shop after shop of authentic pottery, baskets, rugs, and furniture are sold at bargain prices. Continue to cross border and drop off San Ysidro late afternoon.
