Today, you will take bullet train from Shanghai to Huangshan. Your guide will meet you in your centrally located Shanghai hotel, and head to catch 3-hour bullet train to Huangshan city. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Xidi Village for about one hour by car,  which is an old village with a history over 1000 years. Xidi is famous for the well-preserved houses with Anhui architecture that is mainly for black tiles and white walls, so that the village looks like a Chinese traditional water and ink painting. It is nice to view the old village in the afternoon and morning, particularly you should go to the Sightseeing Pavillion where you will get a bird view of the entire village.  

Note: You will travel on your own on the train, Shanghai guide will help you transfer hotel/train station, and Huangshan guide will meet you at the exit of Railway Station of Huangshan when you arrive there by bullet train.

After hotel breakfast, you will take 30-minute car ride to Hongcun, which is a wonderful old village with nice pool and lake. You will visit the wooden carving and the picturesque lake. Enjoy the local food as well. It is amazing to take the pictures of the lake in Hongcun Village on the early morning and evening.

Today you will head to the Mount Huangshan. Firstly you will move to the back mountain Yungu Temple, where you will take a cable car up to the mountain, then start to hike. You have different routes to visit the mountains, your local guide will give you a suggestion as per your wish. Normally you will hike from Bai'eling to Bright Summit, and then to West Sea, then hike to the hotel for the first day, but it will be a long hike.Overnight in the Xihai Hotel, or Beihai hotel on the mountain or similar hotel. (During the peak season, the hotels on the mountain can be fullly booked, we will arrange hotels at the foot of the mountain).

Note: The round-way cable car tickets are included. The cable car sometimes is very busy at the peak season, so you will wait for a long time.

It is a full-day hiking day. You will hike to the front mountain, and then to the foot of the mountain. On the way you will enjoy the stunning mountain views with lots of trees. The hiking route will depend on season, and your local gudie will let you know how to hike in different season.

Later, you will be transferred to the downtown to check in the hotel in Tunxi.

Explore the old street in Tunxi, and take the 3-hour bullet train back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Shanghai hotel where the tour concludes.
