After flying into Lima, you'll transfer to your hotel, check-in, and relax for the rest of the day or explore the city at your leisure.

After breakfast we'll take a short flight from Lima to Cusco and transfer to our hotel. Visitors should take a short rest in order to adjust to altitude.

In the afternoon we'll take a tour of the city and visit the Koricancha Temple and the Cathedral. We'll also continue to the surrounding ruins: the fortress Sacsayhuaman overlooking the city, Q'inqu, home to the one of the largest holy sites in Cusco; the ancient military fortress of Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay ruins.

Today we'll visit the Sacred Valley, the setting of picturesque communities, impressive terraces and archaeological sites. We'll also visit the Inca communities of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, Indian markets and ruins.

In the afternoon we'll take a train to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of the most important Inca ruin: Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

At the world famous Machu Picchu we'll tour the ancient Inca fortress, the holy Temple of the Sun, and the mile-long aqueduct to discover the fascinating history of the people who once lived here. Situated over 2,300 meters above sea level, the ruins provides a magnificent view of the deep gorge of the Urubamba River and the surrounding tropical jungles.

We'll return to Cusco in the late afternoon.

In the morning we'll board the Inca Express Bus to Puno. En route, we'll have the opportunity to visit such sites as Andahuaylillas and Raqchi.

Then we'll arrive in Puno and transfer to the hotel.

We will begin our exploration of Puno by traveling by boat across the stunning blue waters of Titicaca Lake. As we traverse the lake, we will see some of the gorgeous fish and birds that call this lake home. We'll also learn about the history of the man-made floating islands of Uros.

Next we'll transfer to Juliaca and fly to Lima.

Next, we'll take a morning tour of Lima, Peru's largest city. Throughout it we'll visit the lovely colonial buildings like the Monastery of San Francisco, the Government Palace and Cathedral.

After the tour we'll transfer to the airport for flight to La Paz, Bolivia.

In the morning we'll fly from La Paz to the Uyuni Salt Flats.

Upon arrival, we'll proceed to Colchani, the first stop along our way to the awe-inspiring Salar de Uyuni. In Colchani we'll the complex methods used to collect and process the massive supply of salt from Uyuni.

We'll then continue towards the dormant volcano Tunupa and see the stunning view of the sky reflecting across the Salar de Uyuni. Next we'll visit Isla Incahuasi, a former island dating back to when Salar de Uyuni was still a lake. It is well known for the fossilized algae found in the caves and the gigantic cactus that dot it's landscape.

In the evening we'll spend the night in Colchani at the border of the Uyuni Salt Lake.

In the morning we'll drive to Ollague Volcano, arriving at a vista near Cañapa, Hedionda, and Honda Lakes, home of pink flamingos and other exotic birds. After lunch we'll drive through the Siloli Desert, ultimately arriving at the otherworldly Laguna Colorada, also known as the Red Lagoon.

After breakfast we continue to the Valley of Rocks, a 50 km region filled with endless rows of boulders. After a picnic we'll return to the town ofUyuni, passing by the Villa Alota and San Cristobal mine.

We'll return to La Paz in the early morning for our departing flight, leaving Bolivia with a treasure trove of amazing memories.
