The serene Downtown Orlando park is highlighted by the stunning Lake Eola with its magnificent fountain that is illuminated with a rainbow of colors during the nighttime. Lake Eola Park was created in 1888 on land donated a few years earlier by hotel owner Jacob Summerlin and named after a woman Summerlin's sons knew. In addition to the centerpiece fountain, it contains a red Chinese pagoda, Confederate States of America monument, playground and the Walt Disney Amphitheater.
