94% 5-day Italy HIGH Season tour
By: Mark Vines | Tue Sep 18, 2018 at 01.44 PM
Here's a summary of our thoughts (my wife and I) for this 5 day tour:
Hotels were average to good, as we didn't upgrade...no issues with location or quality
Food...breakfast had most of the usual things in buffet style, but eating late me..ant some things were gone already
Group was LARGE due to HIGH season...50+ people. This was an english speaking tour. We moved at a good pace throughout the day and surprisingly didn't have to wait too often.
Group Leader...was Alberto. He did a good job in communications to us. My wife and I stayed close to him when we didn't have mics on at the sites. You can tell he's done this countless times and has patience with virtually everyone
Transportation...we came in by train and had no option but to take a 30 euro taxi. Yet airline flyers got picked up...not sure if that's fair.
Sites...were excellent. St. Peters Cathedral...if you want to go inside, you need to purchase the special tickets, as "going there" is not the same as "going inside".
CONS: smokers were everywhere...in our large group, all over every site, there is no escaping it. We are allergic to it, and I had not been to Italy since '83. So, we had real trouble dealing with it...and now we know better; the group was too large and they should limit the size, even during high season...maybe 25-30 at the most; We are very fit athletes and can handle the 15K-20K steps we did most days on the walks and tours, but many just got too tired...so be warned when it is warm you will tire out.
PROS...history and buildings were spectacular, as expected. Alberto was really seasoned and handled the group well. Bus was comfortable (but didn't allow us to use the toilet) and the stops between cities was a nice touch
SUMMARY...we would not do such a large group again; we would try to find a tour that didn't allow smokers too; MAINLY...go outside the busiest month (August) as the sites in Italy are PACKED with tourists.Read full review

The tour was wonderful, a little exhausting, but wonderful. Was a dream of mine to go to Italy for quite some time and the tour provided everything needed to see and experience the grandeur of the different cities. I would definitely recomm..end this tour.Read full review
This trip was really good. This is my 1st trip in Tours4Fun. Within 2 days, they tried to cover all places as much as possible and also gave sufficient time on all places. End of Day1, we got free time in Banff town to explore all Gift shop..s and also restaurants for having Dinner. Even if you are travelling alone, you'll feel more comfortable & secure because Tour guide was very good, supportive and informative!Read full review

We have earlier booked US trip through Tour4fun and the experience was really good. Hence we booked this trip again with Tour4fun. Generally the trip was Ok but not upto our expectations. Most of the hotels along the trip was not in very go..od conditions and some of them were really very old. e.g. There was no water in the hotel at Rome for first day due to water interruption from the local authority. No alternative arrangement provided by the hotel. Novotel at Paris provided separate breakfast to our tour group and very poor standard. The tour at London spent morning few hours in site seeing and the balance day spent in shopping areas. As a tourist our aim is to spend more time near attractions and take photos. e,g, tour pass through London tower bridge but never stop there. Also the tour could be more beneficial to us if it covers maximum attractions near by. e,g, we spent whole day in Florence and the leaning tower of Pisa is an hour drive from there but not covered in the tour. Similarly the tour coach pass the city of Milan but never stop there as milan was not part of this tour. Tour guide suggest us to take one more package to cover Milan. As a tourist it will be difficult for me to come back again to same place as part of another tour to cover Milan. I wish to cover all possible important attractions if we pass one area. The tour guide from Rome to Zurich was good.Read full review

94% 5 days Italy Tour package- Rome, Florence and Venice
By: Anonymous | Sat Mar 03, 2018 at 04.01 PM
I enjoyed this tour as much as I had perceived it in such a short period of time except for the 2 days in Rome which I felt were a bit mis-managed partly, because of the unexpected snow storm in Rome which caused everything in Rome to shut-..down. I would suggest the company to have back-up plans in case such a thing arises- For example - getting a free dinner (depending upon the composition of groups-alcoholic, non-alcoholic, vegetarian or non-vegetarian etc.) or some kind of compensatory activity for the group. Nonetheless, I would like to make a special mention of Mr. Mustafa -our guide who besides being well-versed with the History of Rome (was open-minded,democratic and friendly) as well Florence and Venice had some interesting inputs to create the context before handing us over to the local guides in each of the city, went out of the way and addressed our grievenaces of our 2 days in Rome by coming up with compensatory solutions to the former- by getting the visit to Michael Angelo's Academia ... having the original sculpture of David, as well as by offering Champagne to all the group members.
I also feel that the visit to Trasvere village could be better organised by giving more time to the group to walk around aplore the place besides eating as 1 hour wsn't enough.
Besides, the hotel in Rome could neither provide the basic amenities like complimentary water bottles or even a possibility of paying for the water, the breakfast was hopeless as well as the hotel restaurant opened only at 7 pm in the evening so if someone arrived during the day and wanted to eat after a long journey, they were directed to the nearby mall which was inconvenient for many of us. I would really suggest the company to consider changing the hotel at Rome for their future travelers.Read full review
