The first 3 days with Monica Li as our tour guide it was really excellent she fluently manages to explain in Chinese and in English during the tour. But on our last day of the tour our tour guide Iris didn’t know how to explain fully in E..nglish probably it’s because her English was not that good. When it comes to food we like Chinese food but not always so it should be optional. The hotels are just average. So overall rating on this tour is average.Read full review
I'm so glad I booked this excursion way back in February when I first knew I'd be going to Zurich on business in May. I booked it because it was near Zurich, so perfect for a weekend trip, and it had something for me (spa experience), somet..hing for my husband (mountain hiking) and something we both love (cruise), and we could explore both Mt. Rigi and Lucerne, and everything was laid out for us -- it was a no-brainer! It sounded too good to be true, and I had not heard of Viator, so I was a little leary. BUT this tour really delivered! My favorite part was staying at the Mt. Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Baths and Spa. It just so happened to be raining the Saturday we arrived, which was the perfect excuse to just stay inside and enjoy the hotel and spa experience. We spent a few hours floating around in the spa, which offers spectacular mountain views, and a variety of options of heated pools and saunas. (Massages were pretty much booked up ahead of time, so if that's important to you then book ahead.) There is an outdoor heated pool that we really enjoyed, with the crisp mountain air and views, yet the water was heated. Luxurious! After the spa, we got cleaned up and spent a couple of hours in the bar -- again, with floor to ceiling windows, just soaking up the view, which is ever-changing because you are actually high enough to be in the clouds! It was very romantic and cozy. Then we went to dinner, and the service was very friendly. I'm not a foodie, but the food was also very good. And great that it was already included in the package, as well as breakfast the next morning. We had a seat by the floor to ceiling windows for breakfast and it was just glorious. It was sunny the second day, so that's when we enjoyed Mt. Rigi. My husband got up early and hiked it up and down for exercise, and then came back and had breakfast with me, and we took the train up the mountain. We checked out of the hotel at 11am and placed our bags in the storage room. (Reviews are correct, that the luggage room is not secured, but it just seems everyone trusts everyone there, and we were not missing anything afterward.) Mt. Rigi was a lovely experience. We walked around up there for an hour or so, before taking the train back down to the hotel. The train and gondola stations are right at the hotel, so very convenient. We collected our bags and took the gondola down to the where we got the boat to Lucerne. It's about a 10 minute walk to the boat, and not so easy with luggage. (We had more luggage because this was part of a longer vacation and we were between hotels.) My husband got cranky at this point, which was the only time. The boat ride was very serene, and my husband calmed down after awhile. We checked our bags into the Lucerne train station lockers and then explored Lucerne. (Fortunately, my husband knew this service was available from previous experience.) We had a couple of hours to walk around, and then located the bus according the directions we were given. The bus was on time, and the ride was pleasant. I read some reviews that this tour was not "guided" enough -- just with directions laid out ahead of time. For us, it was perfect, as we don't like to be part of a big group tour at all times -- we just like having a package put together for us. However, for first time travelers to Europe, they might need more guidance. Anyway, we LOVED our experience. It almost felt like a honeymoon, even though we are married 17 years, and were not looking for a honeymoon experience. We definitely recommend!Read full review
This tour was outsourced to another company and we were not notified of this. Instead of the smaller tour we expected, it was over 50 people on a dirty bus with majority of commentary in Chinese. Buying the food package meant only eating Ch..inese buffet and if you didn't buy this then some places didn't have anywhere to eat. This was a lot of distance to cover in 5 days, especially as there is so much traffic in Canada and most of our days were spent on the road and not sightseeing. However, the guides were very punctual.Read full review
Mano is a great tour leader. He knows everything and have good sense of humor. Marian our driver is wonderful. Two of them made our coach tour lovely and efficient. We have been able to cover most of the tourist check in destination within ..short period of time. It s a great journey with all reasonable timing and arrangement. I had wonderful moments with the rest of the group.Read full review

Tour guides were useless. They explained NOTHING! We were dropped off at locations and had complete free time without any direction or information. Also, the bus driver would never have the bus cool.
This was a 5 day tour !! day 1 picked up and driven to hotel , day 2 leave 7am got to hotel at 9pm,day 3 leave 7am got to hotel at 8.30pm,day 3 leave at 6.10am , day 4 7am got to hotel 7.15pm , we cancelled last day for 2 reasons, we were k..nackered so we cancelled, and couldn't do Niagara falls etc as they left at 7am and were going to drop us off at 8pm to the airport !, our flight wasn't till Wednesday 21/8/19.we got a tex saying we were the only 2 in the group, our tour was sub contracted to compass tour company, the guide said she had never heard of tours for fun !!!on our tour there were 8 people from India, us 2 Australians and 46 people from china, the guide did her best as the bus was full and she spoke in Chinese first, then mandarin and then English , which is fine but when English was spoken all the Chinese were discussing what the guide < ms Renee> had said,we followed the itenary and because we couldn't understand the guides English she had changed the itenary and instead of the war museum, which we wanted to go to we ended up in the cultural museum which we didn't want to go to as we had done that in whistler, during the tour we were told we can do our own tour through the cultural museum which we did, Niagara falls should have been on the Friday first day instead of spending all day in a hotel, and a wasted day, the bus driver was the best part, great sense of humor and he made it memorable, the hotels were all first class ,but we never got to enjoy them as we arrived so late and had to leave so early, also meals everynight were chinese buffet a mix would have been good, we did our own meals.and finally an itenary of all days before the tours with start and finish times would be good, emailed before tours starts or in the itenary when researching the tour,we wouldnt have booked had we had the full info of the tour,.Read full review

Porque me parece demasiado caro el tipo de comida que ofrecen por el precio que piden. Los buffets chinos no son de la mejor calidad aparte de que no existe variedad en la comida. De las cinco comidas incluidas 4 son buffets chinos.
