Located in Mexico City, Acuario Inbursa is the largest aquarium in Mexico and one of the largest in Latin America, housing 1.6 million liters of water. Sponsored by billionaire Carlos Slim, the aquarium opened in 2014 with 3000 animals of 230 different species on display in 48 exhibits. The majority of the aquarium is located underground. Visitors have the opportunity to walk along the ocean floor and see the amazing marine animals through protected glass hallways.
