The 21-acre park was blight turned into beauty as Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games CEO Billy Payne came up with the idea of transforming the land for the 1996 Olympic Games. Two years later the grounds were further renovated for daily use. Centennial Olympic Park boasts the world's largest interactive fountain with the Olympic symbol and the fountain show occurs four times per day. It also has a walk-up hamburger restaurant named Googie Burger and approximately 486,000 engraved bricks. The park host a wide array of seasonal events.
