This baroque church was constructed between 1688 and 1693 in Passau and dedicated to Saint Stephen. The north and south towers of the church feature green domed roofs and eight large bells with weights ranging from 5300 kg to 7550 kg. The main organ of the church is actually a series of organs added together at different tones. The design of the church came from the collaboration of Carlo Lurago, Giovanne Carlone, and Carpoforo Tencalla, who each had a hand in individual aspects.
