This small picturesque village has the largest collection of family shields in the Basque Country. Elorrio is a traditional rural village of 16th- and 17th-century stone buildings surrounded by mountains. One of its main attractions is the Gothic church of Santa Maria de la Asuncion. Elorrio is also a popular base for hikers and trekkers due to its close proximity to Parque de Urkiola. Outside of town you will find the Necropolis de Argineta Tombs that date back to 711 AD.
