Experience Fort St. Pieter Day Trips & Sightseeing Tours

This defensive structure, operated by Maastricht Underground, dates back to 1701 and was utilized when the city was under siege in 1794, and thereafter during many other sieges. Today, the completely restored Fort St. Pieter can be toured along with the caves near the fort, which during WWII sheltered Rembrandt’s The Night Watch from the Nazis, as well as other Dutch masterpieces. The top of the fort has commanding views of Maastricht and the Meuse Valley.
