This upscale Connecticut town that is named after the London borough of Greenwich was founded in 1640. Greenwich has many affluent neighborhoods and its residents often commute from jobs in Manhattan. Many movies including "Ransom," "The Ice Storm," "The Stepford Wives," "Person of Interest" and "Revolutionary Road" were filmed in Greenwich. Popular tourist attractions are Putnam Cottage, Greenwich Point, Island Beach, Bruce Museum, Audubon Center and Greenwich Town Hall.
