Jervis Bay is a vast, sheltered bay on the south coast of New South Wales famous for its snow-white sand, azure waters, and schools of dolphins that call the bay their own personal playground. The bay is also home to a colony of fairy penguins. In addition to sunbathing and dolphin watching, visitors can also take advantage of the picnic grounds and barbeque pits in Jervis Bay National Park. Hyams Beach boasts some of the whitest sand in the world, so bring plenty of sunblock and wear sunglasses. Keep in mind that the waters may appear warm and inviting, but they can chill to the bone during the winter months.
