This Nevada casino resort town is situated along the Colorado River and offers gaming, headliner shows, festivals, water recreation, golf courses, spas and shopping. Laughlin, which has nine casino resorts along the river offering spectacular views of The Black Mountains, was started by former Las Vegas club owner Don Laughlin in 1966 when he purchased an old motel and 6.5 acres of property. The town attracts many recreational vehicles and there are several RV Parks either in Laughlin or nearby. Nearby destinations are the Davis Dam, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Lake Mojave, Lake Havasu, Christmas Tree Pass and The Grand Canyon.
