Also called Mozartplatz Square, this public square in the center of Salzburg is dedicated to the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as its name suggests. Mozart Square was created in the 17th century at the direction of Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau. The Mozart Memorial in the square's center was designed by Ludwig Schwanthaler and dedicated in 1842.
