This small, scenic town in southwestern Colorado is famous for its hot springs and natural beauty. Named after the Ute word for "healing waters", the town of Pagosa Springs has been inhabited since 1125, but wasn't officially incorporated until 1891. Its location in the San Juan National Forest makes it the perfect go-to place for hiking, fishing, hunting, hot air ballooning and other outdoor activities. Pagosa Springs boast 300 days of sunshine and three hot spring facilities, including the world's deepest geothermal spring at The Springs Resort and Spa.
