The unincorporated 4,000-acre area located in the California's Santa Clarita Valley in the foothills of the Santa Susana Mountains was approved as a planned community in 1987 by Los Angeles County. Stevenson Ranch is located three miles from Six Flags Amusement Park and contains many parks, shopping centers and restaurants. The Showtime television show "Weeds" is filmed in this upscale community.
